Life had presented me with complicated challenges and I was ultimately responsible for the way I would handle them. I could struggle against the current which I really didn’t have any control over or I could surrender to the lessons that arise and allow myself to flow with the rhythm of life. I chose to stay strong, stop resisting and remain afloat while learning to listen to my inner spirit and follow my heart.
The waves directed me toward my soul mate and the fulfillment of my destiny.
The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also called the Nike of Samothrace, is a marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory) estimated to have been created around 200-190 BC. Since 1884, it has been prominently displayed at the Louvre and is one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world. It is 8ft (2.44m) high. It was created to not only honor the goddess Nike, but to honor a sea battle. Despite its significant damage and incompleteness, the Victory is held to be one of the great surviving masterpieces of sculpture from the Hellenistic period, and from the entire Greco-Roman era. The statue shows a mastery of form and movement which has impressed critics and artists since its discovery. It is considered one of the Louvre’s greatest treasures.
